This is a quick list of what I’m fiddling with; such projects might make it on to this blog as full entries.
Currently Fiddling With:
- December 2009 — Wrote a nice Win32 class wrapper for another project; might include a mini-guide here, as I had to hack in functional pointers to member functions.
- January 2010 — RMX-OS: This project has been completed.
- Way back in 2009 — Been wanting to review Math on Napkins’s “Black Magic” editor for a while. I might just do a “first impressions”, or I might review his improved import/export features. Actually, if his goal to eliminate map32 is accomplished, I’d love to review that.
- Math on Napkins mentioned a higher-level programming language he’s tinkering around with for the SNES. This would be a cool way to introduce ASM hacking in Zelda3, without all the bluster of ASM per se. Although, creating a new language to solve a problem is generally more work, even in the long run. (Consider: Antlr).
- I’ve been dying to get an article up on Ryzom, but I just don’t seem to have the aptitude for it. Once development gets rolling, I’ll spend some time hacking away at it.
